Wow, more sanctions against Russian higher ups for helping facilitate the election in Crimea. These men have not been brought to trial but are accused of helping a part of the Ukraine that was primarily filled with Russians and that (by vote nonetheless) wanted to rejoin Russia and they are punished for it.
As I said when this entire thing started, I would not be surprised if Russia did want all its territory back (from when it was the USSR), but I do not expect Russia to take it all because of the financial burden it would cause the country. At the same time, if they stay in the confines of the former Soviet Union, I don't see how the rest of the world should be getting involved. Countries change boarders all the time. I also don't see why we need to step in because China is in possession of disputed islands.
European and Asian markets are already stumbling because Russia and China are pulling out their economic support of areas - or sanctioning us for their sanctions if you will. It can only get worse economically for us. Oil prices worldwide are already starting to skyrocket.
