Once again having two parties is a disgrace. Don't tell me that the Tea Party is a "real" party. The only thing they do is endorse Republican candidates. The Libertarian party is a real party, but no one votes for them. The other real parties are not listed on a ballot and have only write in candidates, which sadly most American voters cannot do - even with mainstream (Repub/ Democ) candidates. Can you imagine how the vote would turn out if instead of pulling a lever to vote straight ticket, people had to actually write down the name of the person they were voting for - in each position.
Anyway, if you believe the democratic party as a whole is innocent of influencing the IRS against the "Tea Party" guess again. Only Americans are so naive about the corruption of those who lead us. Thankfully, Carl Levin, will fall on the sword for his party. He has been in longer than any other senator and probably took office before most of the people reading this were born. He was elected in 1978 - only missing being in office during the Watergate scandal by one term.
