Why Not Fight in Ukraine?

Many could argue that it is our right to rush into foreign countries and save the people. However, in the case of Ukraine, escalating this war is not what the people want. On both sides, they just want to be separate.

But even without that, we need to seriously consider how competent we are at rushing in to support "the people" of countries against dictatorship. Consider where certain countries are today after we threw our weight behind the people overthrowing "dictators": Egypt has been in unrest since we were happy to let it's president be overthrown, it's the same with Libya, Pakistan (where we supposedly ousted the Taliban, Afghanistan (where we are withdrawing and I assume declaring another false "victory"), and Iraq (or this one since it's the latest hot topic)- although Blair says that is not the fault of the West.

In fact, the US has a long history of setting up corrupt governments in foreign countries under the name of "democracy." Why keep repeating it?
