Well, Russia is starting to kick McDonalds out. Granted, this was expected. It is actually amazing that they have stayed this long.
Russia is pulling back from the West. It shut off gas to Kiev, but then the news went silent as to what else was happening on this front with only a little peep a few weeks ago.
Ever since the world blamed Russia for the downed plane, sanctions from the West have only caused Russian retaliation on a greater scale. But as happy as the news is trying to make the economic world by focusing on how great it is when everyone gets together to talk because now everything will be okay- it is not doing well. Europe is not doing well, most of the countries in Europe know they are not doing well, and the Euopean union is even thinking about giving aid to help countries hurt by Russian sanctions.
In the meantime, Ukraine is allowed to bomb its citizens in a variety of ways and point fingers at Russia, continue fighting around and helping destroy the crash site, and grump about aid sent by Russians (which turned into the great Russian mystery and which we will probably never learn the end of that either.
Right now, there are too many stories that get picked up because of their sensationalism and then dropped. The latest is of course the video of the journalist being killed - but really, hasn't this happened ever since Vietnam? Are we appalled? Hopefully anyone who watches anyone else being beheaded is appalled at it. Are we surprised? We shouldn't be.
In perhaps a Fruedian slip, President Obama seems to have admitted he doesn't believe in God - or at least he doesn't believe that God is just. "No just god would stand for what they did yesterday or what they do every single
day." Sorry, Mr. President. God didn't create robots - which you should be happy about because it means you can do and say whatever you want. Indeed, so can the IS. However, since God is just it means we all with have to reckon for what we have done and said when we stand before Him.
