- NYTimes is no longer available because (1) I felt all their stories were over the top slanted; (2) While you could click on any story you found on my feed throughout the month, once you were in that story if you wanted to read others you frequently ran into a page that said something like "You have reached your 5 story limit for this month- please subscribe to see more." Since, I really don't want to encourage people to subscribe to such blatant propaganda and since other news feeds on my page covered most of the same stories, I switched it.
- Discovery news has been removed because their news stories are awful. I just wanted tech information, but they seem to post a variety of stuff and some of it is outrageous (along the lines of "Yeti discovered in Florida"). Somehow, I put the Discovery feed on twice- although it gave different stories, it really wasn't worth it. I switched both with feeds that I hope will have better tech news.
- The other major change was really a minor one. I had a Wall Street Journal feed that just wasn't working, so I switched it with one that was. I also had a Bloomberg market feed that wasn't working that I switched with another Bloomberg market/ business feed.
We will see if I like the new feeds, but I might change some of these, too. As I have already noted, it is getting harder and harder to find news and easier and easier to find propaganda. I am trying to keep a balance between "Republican" and "Democrat" sources as well as trying to keep a worldview as opposed to a local view. However, you would be surprised at how many people will say one news agency is clearly biased one way and then other people come forward who argue that it is biased the other way- so it isn't always easy to decide which is supposedly which.
