Really, are any of us surprised that Russia has been sending troops into East Ukraine? In a prior post, I said that based on the accuracy of the "separatists" I had no doubt they were trained Russian troops. However, when I heard about the attack on the Donetsk airport had heavy casualties for the separatists, I have to wonder - has the West also joined the war privately?
Sorry if I am a little cynical in my belief that the election of a new president can suddenly make Ukrainian troops better - much, much better. I also am a little curious about the death toll on the side of the Ukrainians. I would love a link to an article by a reputable news source discussing that. I would also like to know what percentage of the population in Eastern Ukraine actually voted in this election. All I have seen is the margin the current president won by out of votes cast.
Meanwhile, we continue to provoke China. As I have stated before, this is going to be an economic war first before it turns to WWIII. Right now, as a world, we are linked together through our economies. At the least, this altercation will separate Asia's economy from the rest of the world.
